PLEASE NOTE: As of 9/10/2019, due to the limited capacity in the conference center for meals and presentations we are not registering more participants for the Sequanota foray for any of the options (rooms, camping, offsite and Saturday only). If you register you will be on waiting list and we will let you know if there are cancellations or we conclude we can accommodate a few more participants.
MAW's annual Sequanota Foray weekend has been a club event for ~35 years. Please come out, and join us in the Laurel Highlands of Southwestern Pennsylvania for our annual trek to Sequanota PA, and enjoy a full weekend of mushrooming activities.
Weekend forays are a great opportunity to quickly advance your ID skills, get to know other mushroom enthusiasts, and have a lot of fun. Our guest mycologist this year will be the esteemed mycologist Dr. Timothy Baroni, a recently retired professor from the State University of New York (SUNY) Cortland, one of the top mycologists in the Northeast, as well as the author of 'Mushrooms of the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada'. This year's foray is going to be memorable.
We hope to see you there.
PS: For those who are interested, the Laurel Highlands are home to several other attractions about an hours drive from Sequanota. Highlights include two Frank Lloyd Wright homes, Kentuck Knob and the world famous Fallingwater; George Washington's Fort Necessity National Park; the Flight 93 National Memorial and whitewater rafting at Ohiopyle State Park.
