For this special event, we have the very special honor of learning about truffles and other subterranean fungi from one of the leading experts, Michael Castellano (Caz).  Caz lives in Oregon, truffle capital of North America, and he's dedicated his profession life to these often overlooked fungi, so no matter what we find, or don't find, we're sure to learn a lot.  For this foray, we need to scratch away a bit of soil to get to the truffles, so you'll need to bring a 3 or 4 tine garden rake, either a small hand held one or a larger one, in order to participate.  We'll meet at the visitor center at 10 am, and I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone then!
