For this lichen themed walk we're visiting scenic Great Falls, so be sure to bring along your cameras as we visit this photogenic vista.

Dr. Natalie Howe and Tom McCoy will co-lead, and while Great Falls is stunning any time of year, it's romantic sublime this time of year with the power of flowing water on full display.  Lichens will be the primary discussion as we make our way from the visitor center to Olmstead Island, but you’ll also hear the occasional tidbit about the canal and the bedrock geology.  We’ll meet in front of the Visitor Center.  No registration required for this event.

Please note if you don't have a national park pass, there's an entrance fee of $20 per car that is valid for one week.
