Apologies team fungi for yesterday's email regarding this event.  I was trying to send it from the airport on my phone, and that's never a good idea.  You should be able to register for the event now, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing you on Sunday!  Apologies for the early start time, Paula and I are simply trying to beat the heat.  Besides, at this early hour, we should have much less foot traffic to compete with at this popular location.

In this special event botanist Paula Becker and Tom McCoy plan to co-lead a walk at Theodore Roosevelt Island, and what a learning opportunity this is going to be!  Paula is a botanist for the Maryland Parks Deptartment with encyclopedic knowledge of all things plants, and while we're going to focus on invasive species, naturally we'll chat about anything of interest we find along the way.

We'll meet at the end of the parking lot near the bridge at 8 am, and no need to bring your collecting baskets, the island is a nature sanctuary.  We're just going to take a stroll, learn about nature and conservation, and enjoy mother earth.  Can't wait to see you then!
