Happy Semiquincentennial team fungi! For our July meeting we're going to change it up a bit, and learn about the geology of Camp Sequanota where our club has hosted its annual weekend foray for the past 40+ years. Located in the Laurel Highlands of Southwestern PA, Sequanota is a tremendous mushrooming location with a fascinating geologic history - and it's about time we collectively learned a bit more about the bedrock geology of this special place. Our lecturer will be Stephen Lindberg, a geology professor at the University of Pittsburgh, and after this talk, I predict future club mushroom forays will spend a lot more time looking at rocks.
Note that registration is open for Sequanota now. If you haven't already registered, what are you waiting for? Sequanota is a fantastic time!
