This walk requires purchasing a $10/person grounds pass, which is able to be paid ahead of time or morning-of (can be purchased at the Visitors' Center in the Carriage House).

Mycologist Serenella Linares and amateur mycologist Jennifer Fieffer invite you on a unique opportunity to look for fungi at Oatlands Plantation!  This site is a historical landmark dating back to 1798 and is sure to be not only great for fungi, but for learning about US history in Leesburg from over the past 200 years.  Bring a reusable water bottle, a charged phone, closed toe shoes, and dress for the weather.

Address: 20850 Oatlands Plantation Lane, Leesburg, VA 20175

Location note: Attendees should enter at the main entrance (listed above) and park in the visitor parking lot.  The Visitors' Center is in the Carriage House, which is the first building you come to when walking in from the parking lot (we'll meet outside of here).  It's where people will pay and also where the bathrooms are located.  GPS will sometimes direct people to Little Oatlands Lane, which is a private road and a very convoluted way of accessing the plantation property.  The 20850 address is the correct one despite what GPS indicates!

REGISTRATION REQUIRED!  Spaces limited!

Organized as a collaboration of: Virginia Piedmont Heritage Area, Oatlands Plantation, & The Mycological Association of Washington DC.

If you are trying to register, and it's full, please join the waitlist.  We monitor it frequently to make spaces available as they come.
